West Renovate & Refurbish are a small family-run building firm with a growing client base across Herts, Beds and Cambs. Since the company was established in 2011, we have successfully completed a number of large-scale property refurbishments for clients, and in between these we have undertaken a wide range of smaller domestic building jobs such as kitchen and bathroom fitting. The company is led by Malcolm West, who has gained a wealth of experience in building since 2004, and has specialised in Carpentry since 2009. At West Renovate & Refurbish we pride ourselves on high quality, well thought-out work - doing what is needed to finish the job to a high standard, without adding un-needed extras. Malcolm and Ellis have been amazing, Having started to lose the will to live with countless unreliable and un-contactable builders that promised everything but delivered nothing, Malcolm has come through and done everything he said he would, communicated everything throughout the entire job and came back to me whenever I had questions. Ben contacted me promptly and gave me a quote over the phone - he came the following day to do the job and sent photos and a video of the work - everything was left clean and tidy. The price remained the same even though he had to replace some of the tiles. Happy to get the work done and would use Ben again.

I would not recommend you use Richard. The initial consultation was good and the process agreed for the work was fair. However, Richard did not turn up on the day. I tried to call and there was no response. I later found out there had been a family death, so we renegotiated a date for the work to commence only to experience the same situation; a no show. This time there was no call, as to why he didn’t show. Richard demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and respect. Stay well clear!

In a nutshell, Marius and his team are great. They're kind, respectful and Marius is always available to answer every question you have - he def is the most knowledgeable builder I've spoken to. You get a very transparent estimate and sign a contract, for both parties' peace of mind. If extras come up, Marius openly discuss them with you before taking any action - my job required quite a few and Marius was also great to stay competitive price-wise whilst keeping the quality of the work sky-high.
