Jimmy came round to give us a quote very soon after we had asked for a workman. We needed soundproofing on two floors and carpets and underlay fitted on two floors and the stairwells plus landings. His workmanship and professionalism were excellent. He is extremely reliable and we would have no hesitation is recommending him. We were very pleased with the result and found him to be extremely helpful and efficient.

Job done in a friendly and considerate way, and we liked the result. Issues which arose (e.g. water coming through ceiling below two evenings after they'd left) were rectified, and snags at the end were dealt with promptly. Cleaning up was fairly good but not perfect - tiles needed quite a bit of further scraping, scouring and buffing to remove traces of grout and adhesive. But altogether perfectly satisfied that we got what we paid for.

Hi My name is Llyw I am a qualified joiner and have been in the trade for the past 14 years. In the past I have worked in the joinery industry working to very high standards producing hardwood windows, doors , shopfronts etc. Once I felt my time had come to an end in this role I worked closely with an investor sourcing , purchasing, project managing and renovating property. In more recent years I have been working within the kitchen installation and renovation industry. This can vary from supplying and installing kitchens from many of your well known kitchen manufacturers to installing high end bespoke framed kitchens. I now feel I have found the industry I truly enjoy and take great pride in my work and service I provide. With my background in producing high end joinery products and working to fine tolerances I can ensure a quality installation, finish and product. You can see why Smith & Son get a good rating. You get a friendly builder that does a good job. We employed him to fit a steel beam and a door lintel. The site was tidied up on completion and advice was given about covering the beam and contacting building control. Thanks Ian and team, great job, thoroughly recommended.
